My 2013 Hair Fair Picks

Hi there! I did a post like this for Hair Fair 2012 and I found it really helped me decide on which style to choose from. I remember staying up all night after cruising around the Hair Fair and cramming like I would have back in college lol. This year there was not time to do it earlier……but I have been working on this for a few days now. These are my picks for the 2013 Hair Fair, of course I can always add to this post as well…………just in case I do not have enough hair yes?! 😉

Some of these styles are tried and true designers that I love, some are new to me as well. I have eleven sets in all and ten styles per set……….that is a lot of hair I know, but I am just a tad obsessed……..maybe!? hehe Since the beginning of my sl I have had such a love for all the pretty hairstyles. This has quietly become my passion, ok maybe not so quietly when I post like this.

All in all………….the Hair Fair is my favorite event of the year and I wait eagerly for it’s arrival. I am so happy to have been included in this fabulous event for the last two seasons, and am thankful for being chosen to do so. Hair is such an important asset in how we look at ourselves, in real life as well as second life. But here we are very much fashion oriented and need different styles for different outfits, and Hair Fair is a one stop shop for all the amazing designers to show off their talent.

Now of course the most important aspect of the Hair Fair is that every sale gives a portion of the money collected to Wigs for Kids, I think this is such a wonderful charity. We help children through very hard times and sickness……….there is no better reason than this to shop like crazy. I may buy a lot of hair, but for this amazing charity anything goes.

I will have a cut in this post this year…….so if you are looking for more…………..check that cut. I am showing all these beautiful locks so you can see exactly how these styles will look inworld. I tend to sit up on my platform and commiserate with all my loot (inserts wicked little laugh here), so this is a way to show it all off at once what might take me a few weeks to blog. Lovin’ Every Minute of It

Hai! I have been holiday-ing it up in real life……being our long weekend due to Canada Day on July 1st……..so as to say I am just a tad hung over lol, k so I am a light weight in real life, but I still grabbed my trusty notebook as soon as I woke up this am 🙂 I have a few new items to show you today….and some are very time sensitive! My Attic at the Deck closes this months round in just a few hours so I hope everyone has stopped by to pick up all the amazing creations this cycle has to offer.

DCNY has this fabulous little mesh Leather Apron Dress, I just love the soft leather texturing on this dress, the attention to detail is amazing as well, held together on the top straps with small metal clips and it also has a wonderful zipper in the back. This beauty comes in all sorts of different colors………..they are all just as gorgeous as the teal and at this low price……how can you resist! Also if you are in love with Nail Appliers like I am…….grab Flair’s newest additions also at My Attic at the Deck, remember you get both pedi and manicures for each set and for this event you get two different sets inclusive in one low price……yay for pretty nails!

Now onto the lower half of my outfit……………The Helena Mesh High Heeled Pants are from LeeZu! This lovely one piece combo is Material Viewer Ready for the new Materials Viewer that I am guessing most have downloaded now and that will go live on or somewhere around July 9, 2013…….. I received a prompt for Firestorm when I logged in this am. The new viewer properties will allow us to see a whole new world of realistic texturing to objects in world. I am very excited as I have seen some wonderful work already, click here to read a bit more about it. The Helena Mesh Leggings are a must for your closet, they are just so wonderfully pretty and available in many different colors as well.

Fifth Element’ish

Ola, this am as I was going through the feed with my first cup of coffee and I caught that LeLutka released new hair yesterday (not saying what I was thinking about not getting my group notices lol) so I teleported in to buy up some beauty and I bumped into Sasy (I think I actually landed on her lol) and Whimsy, two of my favorite people to bump into as the conversation is just always wonderfully inviting  😉

We got to chatting it up as I and many others were trying on hair, and the movie The Fifth Element came up (along with some 80’s talk about what we sprayed on our hair!) Now loving this movie I decided to grab the Neon pack of the Effect Style just for fun. Now the Effect Bob has a wonderful hand-drawn hair stencilling included which you can turn on or off by touch and is just a perfect fun little style. Yes I did grab it in a regular color as well, so you will see me wearing this again.

After I logged and began to wake my kidlet up for school for the next hour, gawd he is so much like me drives me crazy! I scoured the SL Destination Guide and came upon this very futuristic Hangars Liquides and popped over and of course explored a little and what an amazing place, you need to go and have a look around whether you are a sci-fi fan or not, an awful lot of work has gone into this sim and it was just fun, in and out of tunnels and the colors are just amazing!

With the new Effect style I am wearing an outfit I found in my inventory from Ladies Who Lunch that I not worn yet. The Deconstructed Jumper is partial mesh and I just love the mood it creates and cannot believe I have had this all along! The beauty of cleaning out the suitcase! I have paired it with my favorite Shoe Repair Punk Boots from Red Mint and a few pairs of leggings from League, as well as a few of my favorite things.

All said and done I did my best to recreate some-what of a look from one of my favorite movies, and just had a lot of fun doing it. It is always good to get down of your platform and explore and I am so glad I did today……I hope you enjoy the look and I shall…………………….

The Forgotten Closet Goes Camo

Ola! I have been to The Forgotten Closet and they have all gone Camo! I adore the Camouflage look. I threw this look together earlier and wanted to post it right away. The Jacket/Shirt is New from Sugar & Cyanide, then there are these fantastic Camo Denim Shorts from [trs], and who could go without the Military Babe Boots from BSD Design Studio, these come in three fabulous colors as well. If you are addicted to Camouflage as I am, this round is not to be Forgotten!

The Go-Go Girl

Ola! Yes I have been MIA recently, my kidlet came home from camp and the back to school shopping commenced lol. So I have been rl shopping which yes is just as much fun as sl shopping 🙂

Today I bring you this fantastically retro Toni dress from Nyte’N’Day, which also includes the stockings. I was back at the Chic Management 2012 Vintage Fair buying up the Betty skin fatpack from Belleza when I cammed over and saw this fabulous dress that I had to have!

Of course I bought another pair of worn boots from Bubble Electric, this time in snow. I am off to be a Go-Go Girl…………………in pure retro style!
